Obituaries Record MARION CHRONICLE TRIBUNE SATURDAY. NOVEMBER 3. Mary B. Stephenson Sailors Ross I. Miller April 19, 1909 Nov.

1, 2007 SOUTH BEND Mary B. Stephenson Sailors, 98, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 in South Bend, Ind. She was born on April 19, 1909 in Nicholas County, Kentucky to the late Asa Edsell Louie Mac (Crouch) Stephenson. Mary married Floyd Sailors on December 23, 1934: Floyd preceded her in death on March 16, 1965. She spent most of her life in the Marion area.

She was a teacher in Grant County Schools and the Marion Community Schools. She also taught one year in St. Petersburg, Florida City Schools. She taught for a total of 36 years. She was a member of the First.

Baptist Church in South Bend since 2000. She also belonged to the First Baptist church of Bradenton, Florida and the First Baptist Church of Marion. She was also a member of the Indiana State Teachers' Retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of Revolutionary, Delta Kappa Gama, American Association of University Women, and Indiana School of Women during her lifetime. Mary's hobbies were traveling and genealogy.

She has written and collected the story of both her father and mother's families. Both books were requested by the Mormon Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City. The tapes are available from this library. She was granted membership in the organization of people whose ancestors came to Kentucky before 1800. Survivors include daughter, Carol (Jerry) Shaw, Granger; Paid reprint at request of grandchildren, Scot (Terri) Shaw, Wyoming, Mich.

and Beth (Kevin) Danley, Mishawaka; great Brooke (Joe) Jourdan, Elkhart, Kyle Shaw, Wyoming, Joshua Wright, Ft. 4 2007 GAS CITY James Rex Williams, died at 10:12 a.m. Wednesday in Twin City Healthcare, Gas City. James was born in Marion to James and Addie (Petro) Williams, and they preceded him in death. As a youth, he was a member of the Yankees Little League Team. He was an army veteran and served from 1977-1980.

He was a self-employed blacksmith. He was a member of DeMolay of Gas City, Boy Scouts, and the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting squirrel and deer. He also enjoyed trapping and the outdoors. He collected arrowheads and was a knife maker.

Survivors include daughter, Brandy Renee Cole, sister, Suzanne Phillips, Waterloo; nieces, Tia (Tim) Sparks, Wabash, and Tonya (Mike) Staten, Auburn; six grandchildren. Services are at 11:00 a.m. Monday in New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. South 'C' Gas City with the Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating.

Burial is in Marion National Cemetery, Marion at 12:00 noon with military rites performed by the Grant County Honor Guard. Visitation is from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday in the church. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church brick project, 800 E. South 'C" Gas City, IN 46933.

14, 1929 in Hartford City and was the son of the late Blair and Erma (McCaffrey) Siders. He married Dorothy Reese on July 21, 1979. She predeceased him July 19, 2003. was employed by the Chronicle-Tribune for 28 years, retiring in 1987. He had also been employed at Peerless Printing, CS Printing and Transcare Ambulance.

Jack was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church, the I.0.0.F. Lodge, the CMA, and loved to ride, with the "Over The Hill Gang" and was an avid bowler.
