The Operations Project Manager is responsible for project management and administration of church capital projects, deteriorating assets, and other projects as directed. The Operations Project Manager is actively involved in managing projects across all campuses and various ministry areas, ensuring seamless execution and successful outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, implement, and track project schedules by communicating milestones, potential risks and project statuses to the team
  • Financial management and control of projects to include but is not limited to:
    • Partner with Operations and Real Estate Team to create project scopes and budgets for leadership approval
    • Manage budgets and invoices through the completion of the project
    • Review and approve estimates
  • Attend all contractor meetings, site update visits and general communication with the General Contractor and Sub-contractors
  • Bid process administration to include but is not limited to:
    • Obtain scopes of work and bids from contractors
    • Create outline for work needing to be completed
    • Receive bids, review bids, and present bids to Ministry leader
    • Manage the project from start to finish
  • Work with Real Estate, Ministry and Campus Teams to implement ministry objectives and design elements for projects on appropriate architectural drawings

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors’ degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience preferred
  • Five years’ experience in a project management role, including supervisory experience required
  • PMP certification preferred
  • 2 years’ experience with civil and construction requirements preferred

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work may vary on church need.

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Operations. Days and hours of work consist of a Monday-Friday work week with an occasional weekend workday.

The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role would require the ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and bend or stand as needed. This position works on construction sites and use of equipment such as ladders may be required.

MINISTERIAL EXCEPTION

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
