Why Jimmy Uso Hasn’t Been Seen In WWE, Explained (2024)

Highlights

  • Solo Sikoa's leadership led to Jimmy Uso's exit from The Bloodline.
  • Jimmy Uso's absence is due to an undisclosed injury, not just storyline.
  • Jimmy Uso's return is anticipated to play a key role in the future of The Bloodline.

The Bloodline arc has been some of WWE’s best storytelling in the last few years. In the months following WrestleMania 40, the company found, once again, another way to keep the story fresh and exciting. Solo Sikoa has taken over the leadership role of the group, and has brought in some new faces to The Bloodline as well. Former IWGP Tag Team Champions, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, have entered the fray and have unleashed attacks on many members of the WWE roster. Clearly, Sikoa has a new vision for The Bloodline, and that vision did not include his own brother, Jimmy Uso. On the SmackDown after WrestleMania 40, Uso was kicked out of The Bloodline by Sikoa and Tonga. While this has furthered the story, it also has allowed him time off to nurse injuries.

Solo Sikoa Made Big Changes To The Bloodline

Solo Sikoa Kicked Jimmy Uso Out Of The Group

  • Jimmy Uso lost to Jey Uso at WrestleMania 40.
  • Tama Tonga debuted as a Bloodline member.
  • Both Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga attacked Jimmy Uso.

Before Jimmy Uso was kicked out of The Bloodline, he was competing at WrestleMania 40 against his brother, longtime ally and foe, Jey Uso. It was a story that had been building for months, ever since Jimmy turned on Jey and cost him his chance at winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This led to their inevitable clash at WrestleMania 40 Night One, where Jey was successful in defeating Jimmy in the ring. Jimmy was also taken out by Jey during the main event on Night Two of WrestleMania 40 when the former got speared by the latter off the stage. Overall, despite The Rock and Roman Reigns defeating Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, it was a rough weekend for The Bloodline. Jimmy and Reigns lost both of their respective singles matches at WrestleMania 40.

On the SmackDown following the “Showcase of the Immortals”, Sikoa sent a message that things needed to change. He wanted wins for The Bloodline and that losing had to have consequences. For him, that meant rebuilding the group by orders of the Tribal Chief. After Solo hugged Jimmy and told him that he loved him, Tama Tonga came out and attacked Jimmy. Sikoa also joined in by delivering the Samoan Spike. Then, when Paul Heyman, who had no clue what was going on, attempted to call Reigns, Sikoa grabbed the phone and crushed it with his foot. He then continued his attack on Jimmy. This was the beginning of the new era of The Bloodline under Sikoa’s leadership.

Jimmy Uso Is Legitimately Injured

It Is Unknown What Injury Jimmy Uso Is Dealing With

  • Jimmy Uso was not drafted in 2024.
  • There is no timetable as to when Jimmy Uso will return.
  • Rikishi has asked fans to pray for Jimmy Uso.

Since that brutal attack, Jimmy Uso has been absent from WWE television. And while there was a storyline reason for this, there was also a legitimate reason for it as well. It was reported by Fightful Select that:

Fightful Select has learned that Jimmy Uso has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury. We weren't given details on how long he's out, but it was enough to keep him out of the WWE Draft Pool after being booted from the Bloodline.”

As of writing, there is still no word from WWE as to what injury Jimmy is dealing with exactly, nor is there any date as to when fans expect to see him back on television. However, his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, posted on Instagram:

Born a KING !! 🩸☝🏾 Jimmy !! Pray Up yall 🙏🏾”

Jimmy’s return will surely be a big moment in the story of The Bloodline, as no one knows exactly who is calling the shots behind the scenes. Is it really Solo Sikoa? Is it Roman Reigns? Or is it somebody else? Sikoa is the current leader until Reigns returns, but it is still unknown as to when exactly that will be. There are a lot of questions that remain to be answered about the future of The Bloodline. As WWE heads into SummerSlam, perhaps these questions will get some answers.
